A sarcoma (from the Greek 'sarx' meaning "flesh") is a cancer of the connective or supportive tissue (bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels) and soft tissue.
Sarcoma. A word most of us had never heard of before that moment of diagnosis.
Sarcoma. A word that has become part of our everyday lives.
These are some of the stories of Sarcoma. Everywhere we read, we hear how rare sarcoma’s are, yet everywhere we turn, we hear of yet another case of sarcoma.
This page is for survivors, those living with, and those who have lost this battle.
It will hopefully be a place where those that have had this word enter their lives will know that they are not alone-there are others of us out there.
For survivors, we need to know about you. You give us hope.
For those living with, we need to know about you, so we know we’re not alone, so you know you're not alone and in some way, maybe you will
find strength for that next scan or treatment.
For those that have lost their battle, we need to never, never forget them.
Sarcoma. It’s not just a word.
Sarcoma has affected so many lives. Patients, caregivers, doctors, nurses, friends, family.
It has turned our worlds upside down. It is a word that will forever be a part of our lives.
Sarcoma. It's not just a word, there is a face connected to every case of sarcoma.
